Unique multi-concept Thai establishment set in a sprawling open-air venue overlooking Changi Airport’s runway. The retro-chic, family-friendly 555 Villa Thai features a vibrant outdoor area for mookata, an indoor bistro bar with karaoke and darts stations, as well as an alfreso area facing the stage where live bands play – the vibe and atmosphere is as good as you can get to an authentic Thai beer garden in Singapore.
Food-wise, 555 specializes in mookata, a traditional Thai-styled steamboat, where a set for two ($59) comes with a spread of meat, seafood, vegetables and the ubiquitous mookata staple instant noodles, with your choice of soup bases like tom yum and black chicken. You can also choose between the standard mookata pot or the healthier UFO mookata, a customized pot that separates the meat drippings from the soup.
Apart from Mookata, 555 also offers a wide variety of Thai dishes including Mango Pomelo Salad ($10), Seafood Tom Yum Kungfu ($16), Fried Garlic Pork ($15), Salt-baked Tilapia (S$19) featuring fresh fish and Thai herbs from their own garden, and Deep Fried Kang Kong ($13) served with a spicy coconut dip.
