A casual Peranakan dining concept by the House of Peranakan Group of restaurants, focusing on classic Nonya dishes and snacks at affordable prices. Set in a cosy, air-conditioned 30-seater among a stretch of cafes and eateries along East Coast Road, Tok Panjang serves up a menu made up of around 30 items, like Kueh Pie Tee, Otak Otak, Assam Laksa, Nonya Mee Siam, Peranakan Rice Sets, Durian Chendol, Ubi Kayu and Bob’s Pork Bun. The latter a creation named after chef-owner Bob Seah – a thick slice of caramelized braised pork served in a steamed bun with lettuce.

“Tok Panjang” is a Baba Malay term which means long table of food, a frequent sight in Peranakan households during special occasions.
