Specialty Japanese drink concept offering a selection of amazake, a type of non-alcoholic, sweet traditional Japanese drink made from fermented rice, largely known for its health-benefiting qualities. Flavours available at Amamoto include the cold selection of soy, kinako (roasted soybean), matcha, as well as an assortment of blend with cold-pressed fruit and vegetable juices ($5.80 to $6.80) such as orange, kiwi, mango and even orange & carrot with ginger or kiwi with spinach. There’s also a unique variety of parfaits ($5.80) comprising of chia seeds soaked in Amamoto’s soy amazake, layered with berries, nuts and an assortment of fruit puree such as strawberry-banana, mango or kiwi.
Besides drinks, Amamoto also offers salad (from $9.80) that features amazake-based sauce served with amazake-marinated chicken breasts together with other ingredients like quinoa, mushrooms and soba. Alternatively, consider buying a bottle of pure amazake ($6.50 for 350 ml) to make your own amazake-based juice or parfait.
