The sister outlet of Chikuwa Tei and Manzoku by Yoi Group, largely known for their value-for-money Chirashi Don. Chikuwatei Nishi at Holland Village spots a new fun Japanese izakaya-style concept, with MOMO bar occupying the first level and Nishi Dining Bar on the second level.
The chic, technology-driven, self-service MOMO bar focuses on casual Japanese street eats like takoyaki, yakitori, oden, and rice bowls Barachirashi ($9.80) and Curry Tempura Don ($7.80), while Nishi Dining Bar offers a line-up of authentic as well as creative Japanese cuisine that incorporates modern cooking technique, Korean and western fusion elements. Expect dishes such as grilled puffer fish Fugu Mirin ($15), Fried Oysters Kaki ($9), on top of the usual favourites like the Chirashi Kou ($35), Truffle Salmon Aburi ($18), and Kurobuta Nishi Bowl ($16). The signature Chirashi Kou consists of thick cuts of salmon, chutoro, swordfish, scallops, unagi, tamago and ikura. You will also find an extensive sake list of around 50 different sake, Japanese craft beers and Japanese-inspired cocktails from the full sake bar inspired by Roppongi Hills.
