Chic bistro by day, restaurant by night, in a hip, historic district of Singapore.
The space: Chic, minimalist interior in monochromatic shades of grey with wooden furnishings and marble tops, welcoming and filled with natural light.
The food: Comprising of specialty coffee, handmade pastas, sandwiches, small bites as well as classic brunch fare. Start with .elia’s selection of sandwiches that includes the Avocado Toast ($14.50), Jamon Iberico Grilled Cheese ($16.50) of grilled cheese, mornay & onion marmalade between freshly baked bread, and the hearty Pulled Pork ($17.50), assembled with juicy pulled pork, creamy Russian dressing and crunchy purple cabbage slaw between fluffy sourdough toast. The menu variety also extends to small bites like Garlic Wings ($13) and Pomme Frites with bacon bits ($10), as well as freshly made pasta highlights such as Panchetta ($15.50), Scampi ($18.50), and Meatballs ($17.50). The latter features chunky hand rolled meatballs and parmigiano-reggiano with pappardelle (broad, flat pasta).
From the all-day brunch menu available on Fridays and Saturdays, you’ll spot classic dishes like Big Breakfast ($19), and the simply named Potatoes ($16), which consists of roast potatoes, crispy bacon and caramelized onions served on truffle mashed potato topped with a sunny side up.
TL;DR (长话短说): Hearty, unpretentious food in a chic space.
