Well-known hawker stall known for their affordable Soto Ayam, a yellow spicy chicken soup with lontong also known as rice cakes, as well as Mee Soto (spicy chicken noodle soup). Starting at just $2.50, both dishes features Inspirasi’s rich, spicy homemade chicken soup and huge amount of shredded chicken, while the latter comes with an option between yellow egg noodles or bee hoon (thin rice vemicelli noodles). For a more substantial meal, include a hearty Begedil (deep-fried potato patty $0.50) and add some of Inspirasi’s potent vinegar-based chilli sauce to kick it up a notch.
Specializing in just four dishes, and the other two main items Inspirasi offers are Mee Rebus and chicken porridge. The Mee Rebus (also $2.50) comes in a thick and robust potato-based gravy that’s slightly sweet and spicy, garnished with a hard-boiled egg, spring onions, Chinese celery, deep-fried shallots, and lots of cut green chilli with calamasi lime.
