Casual dining Japanese concept serving authentic Hokkaido-style soup curry with 30 different spice levels – measured in “bears”, from baby bear to adult bear and crazy bear. Found by Shuichi Takahashi, the distinction of Sama’s unique soup curry boils down to the variety of soup bases – Tomato, Coconut or Shrimp – that are used for its soup curry, resulting in a thinner but more flavourful and spicier curry that is less sweet than the regular Japanese curry.
Ordering is done in 3 steps: first, choose your type of curry, next select your spicy level, then decide the soup base that you would like to go with your curry. Sama also serves a small variety of side dishes such as Hokkaido Crab Cream Croquette and Hokkaido Imomochi Cheese. Available type of curry includes Oink Oink Hamburg, Ocean Trophy, Cheesy Bear (chicken leg) and Hungry Bear (fried chicken).
