Celebrated hawker stall specialising in only a single dish, the traditional Laksa. Sungei Road cooks their distinctive light, yet robust laksa gravy that rich in hae bi (dried shrimp) over a charcoal fire before topping with fresh hum (cockles), slices of fishcake, bean sprouts, laksa leaves and sambal chilli, then served with thick bee hoon (rice noodles) which you can eat with a just spoon. Expect a long but fast-moving line during peak hours.
