Famed food truck chain from California serving up a series of fun, inventive ‘SoCal fusion’ tacos.
The food: Signature tacos that includes the Steak Taco ($4.60), consisting of a soft, handmade corn tortillas filled with cubes of sweet and spicy beef steak, then topped with soy-ginger purple cabbage slaw, cilantro chimichurri and crispy shreds of deep-fried wontons, as well as the Braised Pork Belly Taco ($4) that was a hit during The Lime Truck’s pop-up charity event with FIJI water back in 2014. There’s also a vegan-friendly Potato Taco ($3.50), and a selection of sides for under $5, such as Fried Chicken Skin with chipotle honey drizzle & cheese, crispy Brussels Sprouts with feta & red onions, grilled Mexican Street Corn (elotes), and Nachos with guacamole.
The buzz: Following a successful pop-up in Singapore in 2014, The Lime Truck is back, this time as as a brick-and-mortar façade in their signature green within PasarBella @ Suntec City. This is the first international outpost of acclaimed California-based brand by food truck entrepreneur and celebrity chef Daniel Shemtob, the season two winner of Food Network’s ‘The Great Food Truck Race’.
